ICE MOON is the fifth book in the Moon series about werewolf mates, written by Lisa Kessler. The series begins with Moonlight.
Ice Moon is a thoroughly enjoyable read with interesting and well-developed characters. There is a perfect balance between action and romance. Also, the romance is believable and follows a natural progression rather than being rushed or forced.
In Ice Moon, Jared gets hired as a contractor to build a new deck for Taryn. He is fascinated by her because she is determined to avoid human contact, even with her own son. When he touches her, he realizes she is his mate. However, it takes a long time before she is ready to hear that news, much less learn about werewolves. Meanwhile, Jared needs to protect her and her son from the Nero organization.
I loved everything about this book! Lisa Kessler continues to impress me with her stories.
If you haven’t read any of the Moon series, you can jump in anywhere. She does provide enough information so newcomers aren’t lost. However, I would suggest starting from the beginning just so you can see the damage Nero has done to all of the characters, both physically and emotionally. Either way, starting from the beginning or jumping in at Ice Moon, I hope you find it as much fun to read as I did.
I strongly recommend this book to anyone who likes atypical characters who take their time to get to know their mates before jumping into bed with them. It’s also a great novel for readers who like paranormal romance series that introduces new systems of magic and psychic abilities in every new book. I will never get bored reading the Moon series!
The next book in this series comes out in March of 2016. It will be called Blue Moon. I can’t wait!
