Holiday Spirit for Hire is a cute story about a woman who takes a job working at the North Pole and falls for her boss.

This book is much shorter than the first one in the series. By some standards, it is more of a novella than a book. But, for the story that needed to be told, I think it was a sufficient length, especially since there isn’t much courting between the main characters. After only a couple of days of knowing each other, they are having sex. However, they do try to get to know one another a little bit after that. In my opinion, though, it all just happens way too fast.

Compared to the first book in the series, this one is much more of a pure romance. Yes, there’s some paranormal and fantasy aspects to it like in the first book, but there isn’t any action or danger. I have to say I liked the first book better for that reason, which is mainly why I’m rating this one lower.

I liked that the characters in this book were not Soul Mates. They liked each other because they liked each other, not because of some magical or destined force that made them have to be together. In the first book, the Soul Mate thing worked, but I was glad for the change.

I also liked that readers can jump in with book two, even if they haven’t read the first one in the series.

If you are looking for a quick read with lots of romance and sex, a little magic, and a happy ending, you should check out Holiday Spirit for Hire. It’s a feel-good story that will, hopefully, make you smile at the end.
