I was given this ARC in return for an honest review. Highland Fate is book 3 in the Guardians of Scotland series. This was a great read. I couldn’t put it down till the end of the book.

Highland Fate is the story of the Red Hawk and Sister Kate. The Red Hawk is the main male character at first you meet is a big jerk, but becomes a good guy. Sister Kate is the main female character that you like and can relate to.

The Red Hawk meets Sister Kate after he is wounded during battle and needs her help to heal. During his time with her he starts to fall for her. During her time helping him heal she starts to have feelings for him. They have to fight these feelings if they both expect to survive.

I will not be doing any spoilers so if you want to find out what happens go grab your copy to find out what happens.

I give Highland Fate 5 stars. I loved that the story flowed perfectly from one chapter to the next. It was the perfect mix of mystery, action, and romance. I would recommend this to anyone who loves both paranormal and historical romances.

About Victoria Zak

Victoria Zak is an internationally bestselling author in Scottish Historical Paranormal Romance. Her first book, Highland Burn, won an Honorable Mention at the 2015 RONE awards for best paranormal romance.

Growing up in the sister city to Stirling, Scotland, Scottish flare was abundant throughout Dunedin, FL. From her High School band to the annual Highland Games that took place right across the street from her childhood home, the bagpipes beckoned her toward her calling. It seemed only natural for Victoria Zak to want to write in the Scottish historical romance genre. Add to the fact, she was also a paranormal romance junkie, there was no doubt that her influences would be the driving force behind her stories.
