The BEST 5 BOOK COVERS
for books released on March 2, 2017 through March 6, 2017
The idea, when I started this feature, was to pick five covers every day. I’m already realizing that isn’t always possible. But instead of doing what I originally said and skipping the days that didn’t have enough, I decided to combine them. So, today’s post is for books being released March 2nd through March 6th. I didn’t find enough covers I liked to make separate posts for each of those days.
More info about the feature…
My search is not limited to any particular genre, publisher, or book length. I just pick the covers I like the best!
The abbreviated name for this feature is 5BC. You can find other days’ posts by searching 5BC in the box on the right.
All of the covers link to Amazon if you would like to learn more about the books.
I hope you enjoy looking at my selections. Please leave a comment if you like anything you see 🙂
Sorry for not explaining why I liked each of the covers. It’s not just laziness today; I also felt like I was saying the same things over and over. Covers that grab my attention are usually ones that speak to me about the book. If I like the artwork or photography, feel that it’s appropriate for the genre, and like the color scheme, I will probably like the cover as a whole. A bad cover, on the other hand, is one that: a) has nothing to do with the story, b) has ugly graphics, or c) is too crammed with stuff.
At first, I thought it might be fun to do a feature like this that picked out the bad covers. After I thought about it, I realized that would be unkind to new authors who might not have the funds to hire a better cover designer. I ditched the idea. Making fun of bad covers is okay until you think about the person behind it who has to start somewhere, even if it means with an ugly cover. Heck, that might be me someday, and I certainly don’t want someone ripping my book cover apart on their blog!
